Sierra Nevada, Spain – FSC Trip

Sierra Nevada is Europe's most southern ski resort. Sierra Nevada literally means "Snowy Mountain Range" and it includes some of the highest peaks in Europe. The ski terrain is majestically overlooked by the jagged glacier-formed Veleta peak at 3,398m. Due to the altitude, the ski slopes are above the tree line and generally take the form of ski fields rather than narrow prepared tracks! The ski resort offers its visitors a wide variety of ski terrain to suit skiers and boarders of all standards. Sierra Nevada is located barely a stone's throw from the Mediterranean coast, it has practically guaranteed sunshine, the best snow conditions in Europe, and is equipped with one of the most advanced snow making systems in existence. We will leave the mountains and head to the beach to beautiful Torremolinos!

3 days of transfers (bus) from Granada to Sierra Nevada (skiing). Sierra Nevada is Europe's most southern ski resort. The resort is only a 50-minute drive and the views are amazing. In total there are 79 pistes (aka runs) = 4 are black (very difficult), 34 are red (difficult), 33 are blue (easy) and 8 are green (very easy). The highest run is the Águila red run (Águila= eagle) and on a clear day you can see across to the Riff mountains in Morocco. If you catch a chair lift to the near the top of VELETA, it is possible to ski down as far as PRADOLLANO.
