John and Gus invite you to join us for an epic week at Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana overlooking Glacier National Park. This resort, previously known as Big Mountain, is located in North Western Montana close to the Canadian border. We fly into the Glacier Park International airport in Kalispell, and then take a short 30 minute bus ride to the resort. Whitefish receives 300 inches of snow annually on its 3000 skiable acres and known for its consistent snow, dropping a few inches several times a week rather than one big storm. This provides outstanding conditions each day for skiers and boarders of all levels. We will be staying at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake a FIVE star Lodge with King, Duel Queen and King/Queen Suites. The town of Whitefish is just a few minutes from the resort and features acclaimed restaurants, bars, local breweries, and art galleries. The town is easily accessible on the free S.N.O.W. Bus. Don’t want to ski/board every day try some of the many other activities, including Glacier National Park tours, snowmobiling, dog-sled tours, cross-country skiing, backcountry cat skiing, sleigh ride dinners, and ice skating.

Whitefish Mountain Resort

The Lodge logoWelcome to The Lodge at Whitefish Lake surrounded by mountains with the pristine waters of Whitefish Lake at our back door, and all the amenities of a full-service resort hotel, The Lodge is only minutes from downtown Whitefish (one mile), ten minutes (6 miles) from the ski slopes of the Whitefish Mountain Resort and less than a 30-minute drive (25miles) to the scenic wonders of Glacier National Park.

There is always something to do in Whitefish, but don’t feel guilty if you decide to take a less active approach. Relax by the fireplace in your suite. Enjoy coffee and conversation while overlooking the lake. Tempt your taste buds with dinner in the Boat Club Restaurant. Melt stress away with a massage in the Spa. The choice is yours. The Mountain(s)

There are four skiable sides to Whitefish with 3000 acres with lots of tree and bowl skiing, and 105 marked runs supported by 14 Lifts, including 3 High Speed Quads. The base elevation is 4400 feet and the summit is 6800 feet, so altitude is not an issue here. Terrain is 12% beginner, 40% intermediate, 42% advanced, 6% expert, all adding up to 100% fun. The longest run is 3.3 miles. The average annual snowfall is 300 inches. Night skiing is available Friday and Saturday night. The best way to learn about the mountain is to take advantage of the mountain ambassador tour guide service which is offered daily at 10:30am and 1:30pm. The guides will enthusiastically tell you everything about the mountain and maybe some history of Whitefish along the way

On the mountain are 7 restaurants, 4 accessible by skiing. Last year Whitefish mountain added a NEW LIFT with NEW TERRAIN at Flower Point, along with a total of 2 million dollars plus of renovations and improvements! This means seven new intermediate runs, additional advanced gladed terrain, more north-facing slopes providing excellent conditions throughout the season plus new breath-taking views into Glacier National Park!
