Lodging

We have two choices for your trip to Snowmass this season. The Limelight Hotel and the Terrace Condos.

Most of us will be staying at the Limelight Hotel located in the new base village just steps away from the Elk Camp Gondola. We also have 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos at the Terrace House which is a favorite of our club.

The Limelight is not your typical luxury hotel. It has a Mountain Modern theme where comfort & casualness are the key to a home like feel. You can kick back and hang out & enjoy all the indoor & outdoor amenities they offer. The Limelight Hotel coined the phrase, “Social Adventures. “There are many communal areas both indoors & outdoors with fire pits with rocking chairs, lovely balconies with seating, sofas around the fireplaces, game areas, tables for dining, breakfast, and après and a lovely atmosphere over all. The staff is very caring with a lighthearted spirit that shouts out “Lighten Up” to all its travelers. They bring the outdoors in which is reflected in the design & comfort throughout the hotel.

The new 99 room Limelight Hotel features an Ice skating rink, climbing wall, ski-in-ski-out access, Base Village restaurants, rental shops, stores, & bars. Relax & soak those tired muscles in the two heated Jacuzzi pools which are the size of swimming pools. Free ski storage is right outside the door by the Rental shop & the Elk Camp Gondola. Convenience is the name of the game. The fitness center in the hotel is high tech and the family game room has activities for the whole family. There are daily newspapers, a business center, and a shuttle service around the village. Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet daily. The Terrace House travelers can also enjoy breakfast at the Limelight for approximately $22. Try out the new Lost Forest Coaster located at mid mountain by the Elk Camp lift and enjoy ice skating right outside the hotel by the Fire Pits. It’s truly a Winter Wonderland. The Terrace House Condos are favorites of our travelers and are located above the Stonebridge Hotel. It’s a very short walk out to slope side and the Terrace House has the most beautiful jacuzzi built right into the rocks. They all have 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and are spacious and bright. Relax by your fireplace and enjoy your full kitchen, dining room and living room. They are located one flight down from the Snowmass Mall which has lots of shops, restaurants, and bars and even a bowling alley.

The Mountain

Snowmass Ski Area - boasts over 3,300 acres of skiing/boarding with runs for all abilities. Experience 94 trails and the largest lift served descent in North America (4,406 vertical feet). From the gentle dips and drops of Elk Camp to the wide-open cruising trails on the Big Burn to the aggressive, double-black-diamond runs of Hanging Valley, it’s easy to see why Snowmass is among the top-rated ski areas in North America! One can spend an entire trip exploring Snowmass and never ski the same run twice. The Spider Sabich Race Arena has the ability to accommodate six varied courses simultaneously and is one of the finest Recreation ski racing facilities found anywhere. Families enjoy this mountain also because of the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center, the first of its kind in the snow sports industry. It has a family-friendly climbing gym, teen activities, kids' retail and daycare for children 8 weeks to 4 years. Plus, there are several on-mountain restaurants offering a variety of cuisine

Buttermilk Mountain – Home of the ESPN Winter X Games through 2019 - Buttermilk has a dual personality. On one hand it‘s designed primarily for learning and improving your technique on long and easy runs, with scenic views of nearby Pyramid Peak. On the other hand: boarders! Check out the great bumps on Sterner or learn how to ski the trees in Timber Doodle Glades or drop into the 22-foot Superpipe. Buttermilk has earned the #1 ranking for a fourth consecutive year from Transworld Snowboarding Magazine. The Hideout, Buttermilk’s new children’s center will inspire children to enjoy mountain adventure and explore new challenges. If you’re looking to start out easy ... or looking to be the next big thing in freestyle skiing and riding, Buttermilk is the place to be. Locals head for the black runs on Buttermilk, especially on powder days - one of Aspen's best-kept secrets.

SKI & RIDE Aspen Mountain - This is where it all began some 70 years ago. From the beginning “Ajax” is still one incredible mountain to explore. It’s ideal for intermediate to expert skill levels as it offers some of the most challenging trails in the world. From the steep, gladed runs of the "Dumps", to the incredible bumps on Ruthie's Run, Aspen Mountain is truly the athlete's dream. Shoppers will love Aspen and the variety of shops all over town. Here one will also find two of North America’s best mountain restaurants: The Sundeck and Ajax Tavern. And … It’s Aspen, dude! This is the ski resort that all others aspire to be!

SKI & RIDE Aspen Highlands - has always been a local's favorite with uncrowded slopes, terrific views, a friendly atmosphere, and exciting and diverse terrain. There’s something for everyone here from the gentle beginning slopes, to the beautiful intermediate cruising terrain, to the more challenging Steeplechase. Aspen Highlands is a multi-faceted area with terrain to satisfy every level of skier and boarder. Locals love its hidden stashes of powder and the pristine runs of Highland Bowl. Expert skiers flock to their pick of the steeps off the Deep Temerity lift. There are several brilliant cruisers mid-mountain for beginners and intermediates. Don’t miss the unobstructed views of the famous Maroon Bells, while dining on fondue and raclette from the elevated perch of Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro.

DINE, SHOP, & MORE – Snowmass Village and nearby ASPEN offer many places to eat, shop and explore the nightly entertainment. Snowmobiling, sleigh rides, cross country skiing, hot air balloon rides and dog sledding are also available.
