Ranked #1 Overall Ski Resort in the West by Ski Magazine in 2014
We don’t go to Jackson Hole every year so don’t miss opportunity to ski one of North Americas legendary resorts. Your skiing resume isn’t complete without a trip to Jackson Hole!

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has 2,500 acres of legendary inbounds terrain, 450" of average snowfall each winter, a 4,139' vertical rise up to 10,450' and unparalleled backcountry access. You’ll have fewer altitude issues with a low base elevation of 6,311 feet. This resort offers a truly unique winter experience. Two distinct mountains in the heart of the Tetons - Rendezvous and Après Vous - make up Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and have been home to incredible skiing for the past 50 years and snowboarding since its inception. Ride their famous tram and gondola, which offer spectular views, plus the recently added high-speed quad chair and Sweetwater Gondola.

Intermediate Terrain: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is known for its challenging terrain, but it is also ranked highly by SKI Magazine Readers for terrain variety, rolling groomers and uncrowded long runs. In the last few years they have improved their intermediate ski and snowboard experience with more grooming and better access to these runs. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort also offers spectacular views of the Tetons and the surrounding valley and is consistently ranked as one of the best ski resorts in North America.

What's Recently Added? The Sweetwater Gondola was installed for easier access to intermediate terrain and quicker access out of the base area. In addition to these on-mountain improvements, they have also increased the size of the grooming fleet and snow making capacity to provide more wide-open and groomed corduroy runs for intermediate skiers to ensure all guests experience the best conditions possible during their visit.

After skiing we’ll meet at the Mangy Moose, one of the top 10 Après Ski venues in North America. They’ll have great live music and of course beer lovers must try the Moose Drool beer.

Jackson Elk Preserve

There is also plenty to do off the slopes! Other activities include Sleigh Rides, Nordic Skiing (cross-country), Heli-skiing, Snow Cat Skiing, Snowshoeing, Snowmobiling, Winter Bike Tours, Paragliding, Aerial Adventures (airplane rides) and more. AND, there’s nearby Yellowstone National Park! Jackson is the perfect headquarters for mountain adventures. The only way to visit Old Faithful and other interior attractions in the winter is by snowmobile or guided snow coach. A winter visit to Yellowstone National Park will give you lasting memories of snowy landscapes, steaming geyser basins, and incomparable wildlife viewing.

An easy half-day visit is the National Elk Refuge where thousands of elk winter there, which is located just north of the town of Jackson. The elk begin their migration out of the high meadows in the fall, usually after the first snow storm. Go for a sleigh ride on horse-drawn wagon for a couple of hours. A cowboy will drive you around on no particular path so each visit is different from the last. You'll see thousands of elk, bald eagles and maybe a wolf.

Dining – Jackson offers a thriving farm to table scene and progressive chef community work to bring the best possible dishes for all food lovers. Named one of America's 5 New Foodie Cities for 2014 by Wine Enthusiast, Jackson Hole has an abundance of dining options to satisfy your hunger, whether you're in the mood for aprés ski nachos, locally sourced bison tenderloin or a classic crème de menthe martini to warm every ounce of your body. Look for regional specialties like trout, elk and bison, but also expect progressive vegetarian dishes, sushi, Thai, Indian and more.
